Following the acquisition of the Nicral product range, Sonifex is the exclusive UK distributor for the CCS Musicam range of ISDN audio codecs.
Sales have recently been made for a number of Prima LT audio codecs to Grove AVB, BBC Guernsey, Studiocare, Kingston Inmedia, Procass Audio Services, Centre FM and Gearbox Sound & Vision. Additionally, Sonifex recently supplied eight Prima LT’s to Sound Sense, a hire company based in Telford.
The Prima’s were purchased as part of a major upgrade of Sound Sense hire stock. Derek Tallent of Sound Sense commented “Our hire department stocks most of the latest equipment on the market. The Prima’s are very popular and we had to make sure we had a sufficient supply.”

The Prima LT is high-quality, stereo, bi-directional audio codec that operates using Musicam enhanced MPEG Layer 2, MPEG Layer 3 and G.722 algorithms for compatibility with all other mpeg compatible codecs.
The Prima LT uses 24-bit A/D and D/A Converters, has a dynamic range better than 95 dB, supports data rates to 384 kb/s and has no fan, for dead quiet operation. For ease of use, it offers “one touch" auto dialing, simple, intuitive menu navigation and software upgrades via the internet.
