OpenGear NLC5.1ST

openGear is a modular system designed to distribute, convert and process analog and digital audio, as well as video signals -- all within the same frame. Since openGear shipments to broadcast customers began in January 2006, the frames have been deployed into the industry, both in studio and mobile truck environments.
openGear is a 2RU rack-frame standard based on a modular backplane that can house modules of any type. Customers are no longer locked into one manufacturer for their terminal equipment solutions. openGear also provides the platform with a web-based control system that allows quick and easy monitoring and control of openGear frames and modules on the network.
DaySequerra’s DSP audio processing engine featuring DTS technology are compatible with Ward Beck openframe cards and may be used in place of Dolby encoder/decoder plug in modules. This enables the customer to mix and match different technologies for their specific application or requirements. Ward-Beck is the leading provider of openGear audio solutions; other openGear partners include Blackmagic Design, Cardinal Peak, Magenta, Norpack, Sonifex, and Sierra Video.
The DaySequerra's NLC5.1ST Surround Loudness Control measures and controls perceived loudness of the program audio using the industry-standard ITU-R BS. 1770/1 as well as DTS Neural Loudness Measure (NLM) and DTS Neural Loudness Control (NLC) algorithms.
